Who buys mature Black Nogales?
We have a black walnut tree with a trunk about 30 "in diameter. Years ago, a manufacturer cylinder head wanted to buy, but my uncle wanted to sell. Being from a family of black walnut wood that is considered black gold to the logging industry. We had a neighbor who sold one like yours to 10,000 feet. Diagonal cut through the trunk for these large tables that go for thousands of dollars, and taking into account how many tables can be obtained from a large tree is a lot of money. Places like Missouri, where black walnut are abundant, have too much competition, but business in Florida or New Jersey or somewhere where they are rarely bring much money.
